Mastery in sustainability

Integral practices for living better

A 7 month journey of enquiry and learning

Start: 22nd January 2013, 7pm - 9.30pm

Central London

Mas·ter·y  n- knowledge of yourself, ability to act with authenticity

Sus-tain-a-bility  n - a way of living well, with awareness, into the future.

Only one who devotes himself to a cause with his whole strength and soul can be a true master. For this reason mastery demands all of a person.” Einstein

What does it mean to lead a truly sustainable life? What practices are needed to embed sustainability into all aspects of our work, family life, education and leisure? Do you feel a disconnect between what you feel needs to happen to ensure we live well into the future and the choices available to you in your daily life and work?

Mastering sustainability is not about acquiring more knowledge, but rather about learning and embedding new skills and practices. It includes outer strategies and processes but is also about an inner shift in our values, behaviour and mindset. Bringing the outer and the inner into alignment is the work that is needed to achieve true mastery. This is the leading, bleeding edge of sustainability.

This course offers a safe space where you can explore these issues, gain new insights and dare to think new thoughts, in a community of your peers. Real learning, real innovation and real thinking these days happen in communities, not within the walls of institutions. Working in community we gain renewed confidence, insight, and deep trust in ourselves and in life. Together we can learn and embed practices that serve our physical, emotional, mental and spiritual needs in order to co-create a better future.

What will we do?  The course will be based on a range of practices designed to develop our body, heart, mind and soul, individually and collectively. These include group conversations, writing, movement, inner enquiry, deep ecology and action learning.

Who’s it for?  Sustainability practitioners, social entrepreneurs, anyone interested in learning to live better into the future.

Price: £300
